Most of us have learned to override sensation, to disconnect from our truth. We can become harbingers of our own exile, living what psychologist Tara Brach calls a severed sense of belonging. Our ways of coping are often acts of skillful self-preservation, but my hope is that this space can be a tender but persistent siren’s call into fully-embodied presence and care as hopeful action.
I'm a therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and silly, contemplative, fallible human who believes that meeting our full and multifaceted selves is a radical act. I love to explore what it means to be alive and to stay alive and curious, even when it’s hard.
Coming to our senses is an invitation into inhabiting your our landscapes and relationships with the human and more-than-human world: landscape, environment, art, ritual, animals, spirit… all of it.
